CHILDCARE:
The
following is a general overview of childcare provisions for the 2004 International
Festival. Hours these services are available: 9:00am to 12 noon & 1pm to 4:00pm
Children 14 & younger are admitted to the Festival free of
charge, but must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older at all times when not in childcare
area. Please keep children out of seminar & food demo sessions unless they are able to
be involved on an adult level
these sessions are being filmed & taped.
Child
Care Overview:
- Co-op
style
some volunteers but parents must also help: Time share: ½ hour
parent required to put in for every 2 hours baby-sit child
- Name
tags will be required for each child with their name & parents name
- Sign
in list needs to list childs name, parents name, where parent will be during
hours they are in childcare, Festival accommodations contact info & home info also.
- This
is for children under 9. Babies under the age of 2 must stay with parent, unless potty
trained. Older, school age children may participate in the Youth Program instead of
childcare

- No
skateboards, roller blades or bikes, etc. allowed in childcare area.
- We
request that people who need childcare let us know before they arrive so we can plan.
- Women
take girls to bathroom/ Men take boys. There will be a port-a-potty at child care area.
- Everyone
under 14 on the grounds needs to be with a parent or in childcare or Youth Program.
- Set
up: an area is already designated for childcare & has both a covered napping area
& outdoor play area.
- Parents
must provide all snacks for their children & come & get them for meals.
- Parents
must provide diapers, bottles, nap instructions, health information, etc.
- All
parents must sign a HOLD HARMLESS AGREEMENT
- Parents
themselves must have a picture ID to drop-off/claim child
Late Charge for leaving child after hours,
in 5 minute increments, @ $10 each 5 minutes over, with ½ going to association & ½
going to care givers.
