Air Transportation to and from Kona, Hawaii is NOT included in our price. You will have to arrange your own flight to and from your location. We have a few links on our links page to help assist you in finding an affordable flight. At this time, the roundtrip flight cost to Kona is $500+ depending on your location.
Ground Transportation
We will be offering a shuttle service TO and FROM the Kona International Airport (KOA) on a limited basis. Times may change depending upon the flight arrival and departure times of Hawaii Live participants.
We will make pickups from Kona Airport on Thurs Feb 17th at 1:30pm, 3:15pm, 4:00pm and 8:30pm.
We will make drop offs at Kona Airport on Tuesday Feb 22nd
at approximately 9:00 am and noon.
If you prefer, you can rent a car and drive to Kalopa Recreation Area.
Driving Instructions to Kalopa:
To get to Kalopa, drive on HWY 19 to Honokaa. A little SouthEast of Honokaa you will turn off Hwy 19 (also called Hawaii Belt Road) toward the mountain. Please click on the PDF MAP and look for "To Kalopa State Recreation Area" near the bottom left of the map.
